Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actress. Paquin, born in Winnipeg and raised by Wellington Paquin's father, was first seen on stage in the role of Flora McGrath. For this role she received an Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress for the romantic drama The Piano at the young age of eleven. The actress is second youngest winner in Oscar History. Paquin made her debut when she was a kid, with the role of the Jane Eyre main character in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre, and then an important role on the film Fly Away Home. Paquin had a small role in the 1997 TV movie adaption to Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. She also played the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). She played teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) as well as A Walk on the Moon (2000). She portrayed her character groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on Almost Famous (2000).
