Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actress. She has also produced films, including Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. The majority of her childhood was lived in Los Angeles where she came from a family of middle-class. The mother of her children was a film buff, and she instilled a love of films into the girl. Paula was involved in a variety of co-curricular events at school and had an interest in drama. She was a great actress and enjoyed performing with her friends. She acted in many high school plays at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and decided to take up acting as a career. She was in The University of Southern Calif's Summer program and enjoyed tremendously. She was offered a contract for three months to make documentaries on PBS. After completing the project, she started working as a production assistant for TV documentaries. Then, she switched to the production of documentaries. Although she was awed by her job, she still yearned to be an actress. Her first acting gig came through a role as a support in the romantic comedy of Will Smith Hitch. Over the past few years she's been in a variety of films and television shows.
