Anna Silk is a Fredericton resident, and is the daughter of Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had numerous abilities, which included the ability perform, direct production, create plays, teach, and be Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk is daughter of a Briton, and the son of a Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. In her early years, Anna played in commercials for a number of companies.
